The hotel rests on landscaped gardens atop a hill that’s overlooking the serene Benoa Harbor, and is just minutes away from Nusa Dua’s immaculate beaches. Therefore, If you want to stay in a hotel but felt like homey likey, try Goodway.To top off this tropical getaway is the perfect spot. Even for the bread, I didn't have a condiment such as butter or jam. The filled up the plates but they didn't finish the food! There are many food pyramids on the table which made me really upset because I didn't have enough breakfast. I was disappointed because the Chinese group were takeover all of the restaurant, including the food that they take without number. Moreover, you need to get up earlier at 6 or 7 to get into the breakfast otherwise, you will get nothing. The only good for the breakfast is the cereal and orange juice as well as the tea. The fried rice was not well done, the potatoes still hard, the milk for the cereal is somehow, the fried chicken was quite hard to eat. It's Nyepi day and the staff surely out of numbered with the guest, but the staff were very slow (however they are very kind! I loved the hospitality here).
The reason why I only gave 3 out of 5 stars in this hotel is that I had the most unpleasant and bad breakfast at this hotel. I had an amazing 3 days and 2 nights stay in here. I had a spacious room size, including a living room, dining room, a kitchen, bedroom, and of course the bathroom. But, after I entered the room, I knew something is different. When I arrived at this hotel again, it felt the same. The same event brought me to this hotel to participated in Nyepi. …įirst, I had visited this hotel several days ago. In closing, Plagoo Holiday Hotel can be a great hotel, but the clientele it chooses to target is its’ down fall. Smoking and throwing cigarette butts where they stand is the usual. Diving and bombing into the shallow pool is constant by mostly grown middle aged men, and when splashed whilst eating dinner, it does not phase them. Rules on behavior in and around the pool are clearly ignored. Rooms are cleaned daily by unhappy staff who clearly depict the effects of daily abuse. These tourist disappear on day trips at 9am and return by 6pm, which in turn highlights the splendid facilities Plagoo has to offer. Some believe aggressive mannerisms are the only way to get what they want, first. Do not expect the polite, expected protocols of lining up to be served. The very boisterous behavior depicted characteristics unbecoming of grown adults. The vulgar behavior even embarrassed my young daughters who had to witness disgusting unhygienic phlegm ridden spitting in and around the pool and eating area. On a negative note, Plagoo caters for a majority of Chinese tourists, and most do not have the same mannerisms as civilized people. Without this service, it would be extremely difficult to leave hotel. Plagoo Holiday Hotel has wonderful landscaped grounds and a large well equipped pool. Initially, we were given the wrong room but it was rectified accordingly. There was no welcome drink even though the trek to the hotel is steep and a long distance. Goodway Hotel now Plagoo Holiday Hotel greeted us with a look of surprise.
Overall, it’s a nice base camp if you’re planning to spend the day outside anyway.

I use online food delivery alot - most drivers didn’t have problem to find the hotel. Better use online transport or hotel’s shuttle (available to/from Sanur and Nusa Dua on scheduled trips) to go around. There are several restaurants and shops within 15’ walking from the hotel but the area is hilly. Go for the chickens! Breakfast is mostly self-service as staff couldn’t keep up with number of guests coming, and the breakfast area is always crowded. I’ve stayed there for 3 days workshop and find that their chicken dishes were particularly good. Local Balinese food was not much represented in the menu. Food at breakfast was good but mostly Chinese menu. As other reviewers stated, most of their customers are Chinese tourists. Internet was ok, not too fast but relatively stable. Not much to do in the hotel itself as the pool is tiny, no beach or mountain scenery either. It’s a large property so you may have to walk a bit to get to your room. It is an older, well maintained property with spacious apartment-like rooms. Quite far from the main road and the attractions. It’s located on residential area uphills in Nusa Dua.
